About the show
Who I am: I am a transplanted flatlander who could not be happier in the wilds of British Columbia! Making the transition from ant hills and gopher holes to Mountains and Glacial lakes was surprisingly easy! I LOVE waking up in a postcard everyday! I am hooked like a Salmon swimming upstream! What I enjoy: That's kind of personal don't you think? Oh you mean in terms of recreation and stuff. I still think that's kind of personal, but mostly I enjoy the stuff, any kind of stuff, just as long as it's good stuff! Mostly I enjoy Family, Friends, and waking up in a postcard everyday!
Pet Peeves: Drivers who don't have a clue how a 4 way stop works and not waking up in Postcard everyday!
Things I do: Acting, Singing, Dancing, Hockey....these last two have so much in common I know......Eating, Sleeping, making love not war and Oh!!!!! Did I mention waking up in a postcard everyday!
My Show: Begins at 6am and ends at 10 am, which means most days I am up at about 4 and therefore for a lot of the year I wake up in a very dark postcard everyday! Mike in the Morning (no "in the Morning" is not my last name, contrary to popular belief, so don't try to find it in the phonebook it's not there) will take you on a trip around the region, give a thought for the day to mull over, tease you with some trivia, and jaw with some interesting folk who drop in from time to time. The BEST WAY TO START YOUR DAY IN NORTHWESTERN B.C. "MIKE IN THE MORNING" on "TODAY'S BEST COUNTRY" CJFW!!!

The Women's hockey team did an amazing job against all comers in the tournament, including the Americans in the gold medal game. But of course we can't be without contraversy, especially when there are American papparazzi type journalists around to photograph a post game celebration in an empty arena by some of Canada's female hockey players after just winning their 3rd consecutive gold medal. Sour Grapes maybe? They did no damage and as for one of the players being underage....if she was in her home province of Quebec or in Manitoba for that matter there would be no problem. This was an email I received from Debbie in Texas on the matter after I spoke about it on Friday....
