About the show
Who I am: I am a transplanted flatlander who could not be happier in the wilds of British Columbia! Making the transition from ant hills and gopher holes to Mountains and Glacial lakes was surprisingly easy! I LOVE waking up in a postcard everyday! I am hooked like a Salmon swimming upstream!
What I enjoy: That's kind of personal don't you think? Oh you mean in terms of recreation and stuff. I still think that's kind of personal, but mostly I enjoy the stuff, any kind of stuff, just as long as it's good stuff! Mostly I enjoy Family, Friends, my dog, affectionately known as cementhead after he put his head through a wall chasing a ball, and waking up in a postcard everyday!
Pet Peeves: Drivers who don't have a clue how a 4 way stop works and not waking up in Postcard everyday!
Things I do: Acting, Singing, Dancing, Hockey....these last two have so much in common I know......Eating, Sleeping, making love not war and Oh!!!!! Did I mention waking up in a postcard everyday!
My Show: Begins at 6am and ends at 10 am, which means most days I am up at about 4 and therefore for a lot of the year I Wake up in a very dark postcard everyday! Mike in the Morning (no "in the Morning" is not my last name, contrary to popular belief, so don't try to find it in the phonebook it's not there) will take you on a trip around the region, give a thought for the day to mull over, tease you with some trivia, and jaw with some interesting folk who drop in from time to time. Golleeeee Myke....Thanks for includin' me! Your welcome Cleetus! The BEST WAY TO START YOUR DAY IN NORTHWESTERN B.C. "MIKE IN THE MORNING" on "TODAY'S BEST COUNTRY" CJFW!!!
Drop Mike a line here!

Hey, thanks for stopping by to check out my blog ramblings! It was a busy long weekend and I wouldn't have traded it for anything! Didn't do much on Saturday except play hockey in the evening. It was my first time out on the ice this season and I gotta tell you I paid dearly for it for the next couple of days. I woluldn't have paid as badly, if I hadn't taken a month off from the gym during August and the first part of September, but with holidays and my daughter's visit it just seemed like the right thing to do, so I am paying for my lack of excercise. Who new your butt could actually hurt just sitting down! Anyway, it was great to play and then, Sunday, it was even better heading out to the 98th Annual Telkwa BBQ and Demo Derby, presented by the Bulkley Valley Kinsmen. The slow pitch was great! The Demolition Derby was wild and I thank goodness for my Hockeyville seat cushion! It was an outstanding day in Telkwa and I can hardly wait for the 99th.
