Central Mountain Buys HawkAir
Douglas McCrea, President of 580-741 B-C Limited, the holding company that owns CMA as well as Northern Thunderbird Air of Prince George, says for the short term, the deal shouldn't make much difference to the staff of either airline or to the travelling public.
"It'll be a close association where the companies will certainly work together as much as they can, but at the end of the day, they're separate entities," said McCrea.
He also says it'll be business as usual for at least the short term, but over the long term, it could mean more travel options for both airlines. He also says it shouldn't result in an increase in ticket prices, despite the association between Central Mountain Air and Air Canada.
